Registrations to trial for the Water Polo NSW Summer Metro Competition 2019/20 are now open.
If you're interested in playing you must register to trial.
Age Groups
The age groups for Summer 2019/20 are as follows.
Born 2006, 2007 or 2008 play in the Under 14's
Born 2004 or 2005 play in the Under 16's

There will be two trials for each age group
Trials
To be considered for selection, all players must register to trial and must participate in both trials.
If a player is unable to trial, an exemption application form must be submitted 48 hours before the first trial. The circumstances regarding exemption application will be reviewed & considered by the selectors. In general, only injury or sickness is considered.

Parents
Parents are required to be at the start of the first trial to hear from the selectors and coaches. WPNSW & ACU Cronulla Sharks promote the "Think Act Play" policy plus there are code of conduct requirements for the players & parents.
Games
Summer Metro games are on a Sunday afternoon and times will vary depending on the pool and location. ACU Cronulla Sharks will play the majority of home games at the Sutherland Leisure Centre with the ocassional game at Gunnamatta.
Games will start after the 2019 September School Holidays and play up to the start of the State Championships in early December.
There will be a break over the Christmas Holidays and return back in late January 2020. The only exception are the "A" grade players who will play in the Australian Water Polo Youth Championships.
The second part of the Summer Competion will end nearer to the start of April 2020.
Costs
Costs are to be deterimined, however based on previous seasons it could be the vicinity of $550 per season per player. This covers the entry fee for the Metro season and entry fee for NSW State titles. In addition, the cost also covers the WPNSW & Water Polo Australia fees for a full 12 months.
